Mostly back to normal

Hi Everyone, we are back up and functioning 100% - no more need for the generator!

However, the access road to the industrial park is still mostly blocked off for use by tractor trailers (the veteran drivers can get in but it's tricky and the rookies can't do it). Anyway, all orders are being shipped and our sales staff eagerly awaits an opportunity to assist you!

Thank you for bearing with us during this crazy situation.

Operations Update

Good Morning! We currently are running on generator power BUT we have Phones & Internet!

So it's business as usual unless the phone & internet go down again like yesterday - we're hoping for the best!

All ePART & Nexpart orders are printed from yesterday and are being processed for delivery today (provided they meet minimum for delivery).

Thank you & have a Great Day!

Freak Storm Hits RI, Warwick area especially hard!

A major wind/lightening/rain storm blew through RI this morning around 6:30am wrecking havoc throughout the Warwick area, home base of REW. We are presently without power/internet and phones. We will keep everyone posted through Facebook and Deliveries are going out so if you had a minimum order for delivery, we are coming! We apologize for any inconvenience our current situation may cause - we expect to be back up and running soon!

This is the access road into the industrial park where REW is located!

Deal to Strengthen Inventory and Expand Reach Throughout the Northeast

March 18, 2015 (WARWICK, R.I.) — Automotive aftermarket distributor Racer’s Equipment Warehouse this week announced its acquisition by National Performance Warehouse (NPW), a North American distributor with locations in Florida, California and Ontario, Canada. The deal will allow NPW to penetrate the desirable Northeast market, where Racer’s has built an impressive reputation over its 48 years in operation.

“This acquisition is truly a home run for our customers,” said Ralph Accinno, owner of Racer’s Equipment Warehouse. “They’ll benefit from National’s extensive inventory while continuing to deal with all the same people at Racer’s.”

Accinno himself plans to stay on during the transition, after which he plans to enjoy spending time with family. The Racer’s owner, who started selling at age 16 and grew his warehouse from a regional player to more national prominence, is particularly proud of the relationships his company has built while remaining an independent distributor.

“I grew up in this industry,” he said, “and I’m thankful to all the employees, customers and manufacturers who have made this ride so wonderful. I would never have made it this far without them.”

Racer’s and NPW are a natural fit on many levels, including their shared participation with The AAM Group, the largest distribution cooperative in the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) marketplace. Maintaining national brands such as Parts Pro and Total Truck Centers, The AAM Group helps local aftermarket retailers achieve success through a variety of proven marketing tools.

“Combining the resources of NPW with the services offered by AAM marketing makes this acquisition a killer deal for all Racer’s customers,” said Accinno. “AAM offers marketing solutions that jobbers just can’t get anyplace else, and we’re fortunate that NPW understands the value AAM provides.”

Parts Pro and Total Truck Centers offer programs like the Digital Marketplace, a website-building service that gets retailers found in their local markets; the Digital Showcase, a mobile product catalog with product information, year/make/model lookup and application fitment; the Insight mobile app, which offers a MAP-linked pricing calculator; and a mixture of print and electronic sales aids.

Tim Odom, AAM’s president stated, “We are very pleased about the future of Racer’s Equipment. Retailers in the Northeast are very fortunate to have a home-grown warehouse so committed to providing its customers with local service and the benefits of AAM’s marketing programs. AAM can’t thank Ralph Accinno enough for all he has done for AAM and our industry. He has served in volunteer leadership roles with AAM, the Performance Warehouse Association, SEMA and other industry organizations throughout his career. We expect that Ralph’s tireless efforts to promote the industry he loves will continue.”
